Everything we've previously been taught about negotiation is wrong: you are not rational; there is no such thing as "fair"; compromise is the worst thing you can do; the real art of negotiation lies in mastering the intricacies of no, not yes. Negotiation expert Chris Voss, former lead international kidnapping negotiator for the FBI and author of Never Split the Difference, will offer a negotiation workshop you won't want to miss.

We live under an exciting and vibrant sky – come and meet it.

Ryan Holiday is the bestselling author of Trust Me, I’m Lying, The Obstacle Is The Way, Ego Is The Enemy, and other books about marketing, culture, and the human condition. His work has been translated into thirty languages and has appeared everywhere from the Columbia Journalism Review to Fast Company. His company, Brass Check, has advised companies such as Google, TASER, and Complex, as well as Grammy Award-winning musicians and some of the biggest authors in the world. Ryan joins us to talk about a formula for success that’s been followed by the icons of history—from John D. Rockefeller to Amelia Earhart to Ulysses S. Grant to Steve Jobs—a formula that let them turn obstacles into opportunities. Their success came from the timeless philosophical principles of stoicism, laid down by a Roman emperor who struggled to articulate a method for excellence in any and all situations. In his talk, Ryan will discuss how to turn adversity into advantage.
