5:00 PM: Programming commences. We recommend arriving at SLC airport between 10 A.M. and 4 P.M. to ensure you don't miss any of the festivities.

DEPARTURE

Monday January 30, 2017

11:00 AM: Check-out. To store your luggage for the day, come visit us at Bower Lodge.

Open Ski: Your weekend ski pass is valid until sundown on Monday, and we invite you to enjoy all that the mountain has to offer before you depart.

Michael Tubbs
Mayor, City of Stockton, CA

On November 8, 2016, Tubbs was elected to serve as mayor of the City of Stockton, California. When he takes office in January 2017, Michael will be Stockton’s youngest mayor and the city’s first Black mayor. Michael Tubbs has served as Stockton, California’s, District 6 City Councilmember since 2013. Elected at age 22, he became one of the youngest City Councilmembers in the nation. He overcame adversity to rise to this position, having been born to an incarcerated father and teenage mother in Stockton, once designated one of America’s most dangerous cities. As a youth, Michael excelled in school and obtained a full scholarship to Stanford University, where he graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree with honors. As a Councilmember, Michael has focused on poverty reduction, community engagement and organizing, and collective impact strategies. Now serving as mayor, he seeks to deepen his impact citywide.

Orlando Jones
Actor, Comedian, and Co-Founder, Legion of Creatives

In a career spanning 30 years, Orlando Jones has demonstrated a well-documented versatility. He launched an advertising agency in his teens and then worked behind the scenes as a writer/producer on A Different World, Martin, and Roc Live. As a writer and on­-camera personality, he was part of the creative team that launched the FX Network into 18 million homes. Orlando was handpicked by Quincy Jones to join the sketch comedy franchise MADtv as a writer/performer. In addition to starring in many beloved films and television shows, he’s one of the founders of the immersive content studio Legion of Creatives.

Jacob Horowitz
Founder, Mic.com

Jacob Horowitz is the Co-founder and Editor-­at-­large of Mic, where he contributes feature stories and advises on editorial strategy. From global affairs and politics to arts and science, Mic offers compelling stories and perspectives on the issues that define the next generation. In the past year, Jacob has sat down with a host of world leaders and thinkers, including President Obama, Prime Minister David Cameron, President Shimon Peres, Queen Rania, Bill Gates and President Toomas Ilves. Jacob has also delivered public speeches in various global forums, including the World Economic Forum in Davos, the United Nations, the CIA, and the White House. Prior to Mic, Jacob lived and worked on both sides of the Israel­-Palestine conflict, worked for the Carnegie Endowment in Beirut, and helped Change.org inspire people to take action.

Ethan Lipstiz
CEO, Apliiq

Ethan creates projects, events, companies, and experiences that sit at the crossroads of community and creativity. As CEO of Apliiq, he is a pioneer in reinventing custom apparel with cut and sewn fabric appliqué. When not on a boat, you can find him exploring the fruits of Los Angeles.

Dan Wagner
Founder & CEO, Civis Analytics

Dan Wagner is the Founder and CEO of Civis Analytics, a data science technology and advisory firm working to democratize data science for all organizations. Before founding Civis Analytics, Dan served as the Chief Analytics Officer on the 2012 Obama campaign, overseeing a 54-person team that provided analytics and technologies for voter contact, digital, paid media, fundraising and communication. His department’s work was credited with “reinventing how national campaigns are done.” Prior to the campaign, Dan served as the Deputy Voter File Manager during the 2008 Iowa caucuses, and had several Targeting Director roles including the Great Lakes Targeting Desk, National Get Out the Vote (GOTV) and the Democratic National Committee.
 

Roxy Prima and Phoebe Cornog
Calligraphy Artists

Roxy Prima and Phoebe Cornog head the design studio and meet-up group, San Diego Letters. The two graphic designers specialize in hand lettering and illustration, and work in a wide variety of mediums and methods.  Known for their bright color palettes and unique letterforms, the duo has created work for clients such as Sundance, Steve Aoki, Trek Bicycles, Snapchat, and Red Bull. Roxy and Phoebe also narrate the podcast, Drunk on Lettering. You can learn more about the ladies at www.sandiegoletters.com!
